The National Conference on Weights and Measures will discuss the issue of having the amount of ink in a cartridge disclosed on the label of the ink jet cartridge. The conference takes place this month in Nashville, Tennessee.
As you can image, many printer companies are not in favor of such a regulation since most of their profits are received from ink cartridge sales rather than printer sales.
With consumers feeling the money crunch and just basically tired of paying so much for ink, it is possible that this will be eventually required from printer companies.
Currently the printer companies are claiming they do not need to disclose the amount of ink in the cartridge because of the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act.
