Lexmark has announced their release of eight new all-in-one inkjet devices for small businesses and home offices. These printers will range in price from $99 to $399.
Of the eight, four models are additions added to the Lexmark Professional series. These printers and retail prices are: The Platinum $399, Prestige $299, Prevail $199 and Prospect $169.
The Platinum is an all-in-one that prints, scans, copies and faxes.
A 4.3-inch Web-enabled touchscreen interface are incorporated into both the Platinum and Prestige printers. This touchscreen interface will allow the user to create a customized one-touch “SmartSolutions” for handling common tasks, such as scanning to e-mail and viewing photo-sharing sites.
The Prevail will have built in Wi-Fi capability, but doesn’t come with the touchscreen “SmartSolutions” interface.
The remaining four new printers are part of the Home Office series: The Interact $199, Intuition $149, Interpret $129, and Impact $99.
Lexmark has not forgotten the home office user enjoys touchscreens as well. The Interact in an all-in-one printer that copies, prints, and scans, and also has the 4.3-inch Web-enabled “SmartSolutions” touch screen. Also this printer has card reader slots as well as PictBridge compatibility. The Lexmark Interpret is the only printer from the Home Office series with the capability to fax.
The Intuition is equipted with useful features as well. They include a 2.4-inch color LCD display, various card slots and PictBridge support. In addition the printer offers Wi-Fi support and a USB 2.0 port.
