The Epson Stylus Office TX610FW is an affordable color multifunction printer for a small office. The overall ink costs a low considering it is an injet printer and the built in Wi-Fi is a must for any small office.
With a price tag of $249 the printer does a lot of what you would expect. An all in one that prints, scans, copies, and fax. Build in card readers supporting xD, MemoryStick, SD, and CompactFlash. USB ports to connect a camera directly to the printer using PictBridge.
At the same time the printer lacks a few options that some users can not live without. It is surprising the TX610FW can not scan over the network. To use that feature, you need to hook the printer directly to a computer. Bluetooth is not built is, but you can buy an adapter for $79.
Although the color prints are not high quality, the page yield per cartridge is high. Epson claims that the black cartridge can printer 995 pages with the color cartridges printing 815 pages. Even with this kind of yield, for a larger office a color laser might be a better option in the long run.
Bottom line… despite a few issues with the printer, for a smaller office or home office, you get a good deal for the price.
